Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions about our services?

Find answers to common questions about our design, punching, laser cutting, folding, welding and fabrication processes below.

What is our lead time?

Answering this question is challenging since each job varies. If you need a flat plate and possess your sketches, it’s conceivable that the component can be manufactured on the very day. Nevertheless, if we assist in designing and initiating a project from scratch, our typical processing times range from 15 to 20 business days. Nonetheless, we remain adaptable and amenable to discussions.

Can we deliver?

We operate three company vehicles daily: a car for small deliveries, a van, and a curtain-sided lorry.

What is your quality system?

We have held ISO 9001 accreditation for over a decade, and our operations are supported by an ERP system that monitors all jobs with comprehensive traceability through a barcoding system. This allows us to maintain precise records of job durations and provides instant visibility into the location of your job within the workshop, accessible with a simple click.

What materials can you work in?

We offer sheet metal fabrication services in mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, brass, and titanium. Our inventory includes mild steel in various thicknesses ranging from 0.5mm to 25mm. For other metals, we can procure and have them delivered to our facility within 24 hours.

How do you decide what should be punched and what should be lasered?

CNC punching is well-suited for parts featuring numerous holes and thicknesses less than 3mm. Our CNC punching machines operate at a speed of 900 hits per minute, increasing to 1700 hits per minute for marking. These machines also possess the capability to shape components. In contrast, CNC laser cutting boasts no tooling costs, quicker setup times, and superior edge quality without the need for post-work deburring. Laser cutting is particularly effective for thicker materials, accommodating various shapes like curves or circles. Our laser can cut up to 25mm thick mild steel, 8mm stainless steel, and 4mm aluminium.
